It takes courage to become a leader as you must learn to also serve as a humble follower.
The moulding process is never easy - in fact , it can be painful. I have learned to make sacrifices – TIME, MONEY, EFFORT – as well as selfless decision.
I have learn that serving does not mean making less of me, but just thinking less of me and more of others. As a leader I need to set an example to my peers so I can influence and help them to see the important things eg, responsibility.
Recently, I took the lead in organizing a nurses and photography program also a few things. In the process I have learned a few things, eg self confident, communication skills, leadership skills, values, etc. These are all very important traits that tell others about my character and level of maturity.
It wan indeed challenging to lead my peers. WHY SHOULD THEY LISTEN TO SOMEONE JUST AS GOOD AS THEY ARE? Leading them force me to be more organized., prepared and ready at all times.
IM AM NOW A MORE DECISIVE, CONFIDENT, OUT-SPOKEN, AND POSITIVE PERSON! With a strong can do attitude to motivate not only myself, but others as well…
I have also learned that a leader has to be ready to pick up a project when someone else drops the ball. It can be difficult, but this is the route a leader has to take!
E.M KELLY said, “ A BOSS SAYS ‘go’ a LEADER SAYS ‘LETS GO’ ”. I always keep this dictum in mind whenever I am leading! These qualities are all built from being diligent in doing what in entrusted me!!!!
“if you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large one”
I AM LIA..............
